He was predeceased by: his parents, Archie Edward and Gussie Shrader Cooper; his grandson Justin Purdy; and his siblings, Whitt, Raymond, Charles "Buster" Cooper, Phyllis Berry, Geraldine Kirby and Imogene Ewing Lester.
He is survived by: his wife Janie Farley Cooper; his children, Jeff Cooper of Jumping Branch and Jennifer E. Cooper of Jumping Branch; his son-in-law Marvin Purdy; his sister Margie Mock of Hinton; and his grandson Josh Purdy of Pipestem. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews and special friends.
