She was predeceased by: her parents, John Alonzo Vance and Elsie Vance (Mallow); her husband Kenneth Jackson "Jack" Chewning; her children, Rheba Propst, Betty Hubbard, Rose Ellen Chewning and John Paul Hedrick; her grandsons, John Eric Hedrick and Brady Goldizen; and her siblings, Opal Berg, Arvella Turner, Don Vance, Glen Vance, Guy Vance and Eldon Vance.
She is survived by: her children, David A. Vance (Christena) of Elkins, WV, Kenneth J. Chewning, Jr. (Bobbi) of Petersburg, WV and Barbara Porter of Maysville, WV; her grandchild Seventeen; and her siblings, Violet Kimble of Upper Tract, WV and Kenneth Vance (Bernice) of Brooklyn, MD.. She is also survived by Seventeen Great Grandchildren and Four Great-Great Grandchildren.
