He was predeceased by: his parents, Verlin J. Hinkle and Elizabeth Phipps Hinkle of Virginia; his son Michael; and his grandson Jason. He is survived by: his wife Carol Barickman Hinkle; his sons, Timothy Scott of Tallassee, AL and Eric of Phoenix, AZ; and his siblings, Richard Hinkle of Parkersburg, Dani Hinkle (Debbie) of Buckhannon, WV, David Hinkle (Delores) of Buckhannon, WV and Sandra Kimble of Buckhannon.
