He was predeceased by: his parents, Willie Fought and Ruby Fought (Owens); his wife Donna Jean Fought (Grimm); his grandson Blake Fought; and his siblings, Earl, Robert, Floyd Fought and Dorothy Tucker.
He is survived by: his sons, Mark Fought (Amy) of Fredericksburg, VA and David Fought (Melanie) of Parkersburg, WV; his grandchildren, Kaitlyn Burton of Fredericksburg, VA, Bethany Fought of Parkersburg, WV and Ethan Fought of Parkersburg, WV; his great grandchildren, Lydia Burton of Fredericksburg, VA and Clara Renee Burton of Fredericksburg, VA; his sister-in-law Betty Fought of Parkersburg, WV; and his close friends, Thomas "Doc" Lauderman and Bob Galland. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Thursday, May 29th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM and from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM. A funeral service was held on Friday, May 30th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the Leavitt Funeral Services and Crematory - Parkersburg (403 7th St, Parkersburg, WV 26101).
