He is survived by: his wife Carol; his children, Dr. Thomas Durnell (Charlotte Ankrom) of Sorrento, FL, James Durnell (Diane) of The Villages, FL and Suzanne Steinbeck (David) of Winston-Salem, NC.; his grandchildren, Bria, Alicia, Devin, Dan, Timothy, Joe, Josh, John and Sean; his sibling's children, Mike Durnell (Joy) of Florida, Randy Durnell (Mickie) of Parkersburg and Patty Saunders (Emery) of Nitro, WV; his sister Pam; and his brother-in-law Larry Ice of Morgantown.
