It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Jack Gene McKinney of Petersburg, West Virginia, who passed away on April 21, 2024, at the age of 86, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

As Jack Gene departs from our midst, his spirit ascends to join the cosmic dance of stars, a shimmering constellation of memories that will forever grace the night sky of our hearts. Though Jack Gene may no longer walk beside us, his legacy lives on — a testament to the enduring power of love to transcend the boundaries of time and space.

Visitation was held on Tuesday, April 23rd 2024 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Basagic Funeral Home Basagic Funeral Home (501 N Fork Hwy, Petersburg, WV 26847). A funeral service was held on Wednesday, April 24th 2024 at 2:00 PM at the Basagic Funeral Home- Petersburg (501 N Fork Hwy, Petersburg, WV 26847).

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Hedrick's Chapel, POB 834, Petersburg, WV 26847 and Cancer Research.
