He was predeceased by: his parents, Norman Lee and Norma Ruth Poe (McKeen); his son Nicholas Poe; and his siblings, Virgil "Bugsy" Poe and Mary Ryan.
He is survived by: his spouse Shirley Poe (Berg); his sons, Nelson Lee Poe, Jr. of Chestertown, MD and David Lee Poe (Kimberly) of Arnold, MD; and his sibling's child Zellie "Noodle Head" Cheek. He is also survived by 4 Grandchildren.
