It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Betty Higginbotham of Peterstown, West Virginia, born in Jonben, West Virginia, who passed away on September 27, 2021, at the age of 88, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her husband Dean Higginbotham; her parents, Wesley Harris and Laura Harris; her daughter Terri Jones; her granddaughter Whitney Jones; and her siblings, Charles Harris, Jim Harris, Shirley Harris (Punk), Louise Martin (Winnie), Pauline Harris, Ann Williams and Joyce Taylor.
She is survived by: her children, Donetta Dunbar (Larry) of Narrows, VA, Sharon Hollaway (Butch) of Radford, VA, Lisa Underwood (Ronnie) of Narrows, VA, Gena Boothe (David) of Lindside, WV and Todd Higginbotham of Forest Hill, WV.; her grandchildren, Michael, Torrey, Melanie, Nikki, Wesley, Josh, Tyler, Madison and Jordan; and her great grandchildren, Todd, Kyra, Payton, Brody, Spencer, Kendal, McKenzie, Adam, Whitney and Hollenn. She is also survived by nieces, nephews, and several close friends.
In light of the recent COVID outbreaks in the area, it is highly recommended that those planning on attending the visitation and funeral services wear a mask and practice social distancing.
