It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Carolyn Lee Buckland of Peterstown, West Virginia, who passed away on October 28, 2025, at the age of 83, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Basil Walker and Virginia Johnson Walker. She is survived by: her husband Marshall Buckland; her daughters, Susan Buckland (Scott O'Connell) of Pinehurst, NC and Lynn Sowers (Joseph) of St. Petersburg, FL; her grandchildren, Erin O'Connell, Jaquelyn Tubbs, Jessica Frook, Jennifer Sowers, Sarah Tubbs and Katheryn Sowers; and her siblings, Sonny Walker (Pam) of Greensboro, NC, George Walker of Bluewell, WV, Gloria Hopkins of Lerona, WV and Barbara Alvis of Princeton, WV.. She is also survived by nine great grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, November 2nd 2025 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Broyles-Shrewsbury Funeral Home (111 Market St, Peterstown, WV 24963). A funeral service will be held on Sunday, November 2nd 2025 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
