He was predeceased by: his parents, James Wesley and Icy Darlie Duff (Lawson); his wife Grace Irene Duff; his daughter Icy Kirby; and his brothers, Coy Clair Duff and James Junior Duff.
He is survived by: his children, Marie Duff of Petroleum, WV, Velvie Smith (Alan), Delford Smarr (Francis) of Cairo, WV, Roger Smarr of Brohard, WV, Judy Carpenter (Martin) of Spring Valley, WV and Carl Smarr (Blanche) of Appomattox, VA; and his sister Wanda Ellen Purvis of Harrisville, WV. He is also survived by several loving grandchildren and great grandchildren.
