It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Karen Sue Skidmore of Philippi, West Virginia, born in Washington, District of Columbia, who passed away on March 7, 2024, at the age of 74, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, John Brokaw and Barbara Jean Porterfield (Wait). She is survived by: her husband Jim; her son Daniel Skidmore (Kerry Skidmore) of Lufkin, TX; her grandchildren, Jackson, Isla and Finley Skidmore; and her brother Jeffrey Porterfield (Annette) of Crofton, MD. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
