It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Addie Ellis of Pineville, West Virginia, born in War, West Virginia, who passed away on December 3, 2021, at the age of 86, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by : her parents, Floyd Kennedy and Violet Cline Kennedy Compton; her husband Robert Ellis; her son Jeffrey Ellis; and her siblings, Jessie Kennedy, Floyd Kennedy, Keenan Compton, Lucky Compton, Ronnie Compton, Lowell Compton, Dorothy Kennedy, Mable Allen, Jean Chambers, Joann Hatfield, Nina Ellis, Patty Compton, Maxine Johnson and Sherry Compton.

She is survived by : her sons, Kevin Ellis (Laura) of Pineville and Chris Ellis (Brandee) of Youngsville, NC; her grandchildren, PJ, Travis, Jeffrey, Kamryn and Kaylee Ellis; her great grandchildren, Bayleigh and Ian Ellis; and her siblings, Eddie, Gerald Compton of Wharncliff, Mason Compton of Columbus, OH, Charlene Miller of Beckley and Cheryl Dempsey of Columbia, SC..
