She was predeceased by: her parents, William "Sam" Hurt and Mary Louise Hurt (Garnes). She is survived by: her son Richard Anthony "Boog" Hurt; her grandchildren, Aaliyah Hurt, Ciara Hurt and Bradon Metheny; her siblings, Karen Lynn Hurt (Walter), Dorothy Yvonne Hurt and Richard Allen Hurt, Sr.; and her close friend Brandon Jeffers. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and extended family.
