He was predeceased by: his parents, Joseph Bissell and Rachel Bissell; and his granddaughter Kylie Woods. He is survived by: his wife Patricia Bissell; his daughters, Beth Harper (Chris Woods) and Rebecca Ferguson (Scott); his grandchildren, Michael Harper, Matthew Harper, Conner Ferguson and Kaitlyn Ferguson; his sisters, Sharon Hensler (Bill), Vicki Northup (John) and Karen Bissell; and his close friend Darlene Roush.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to Ohio Valley Christian School.
