She was predeceased by: her parents, Charles F. Cox and Lily Young Cox; her former husband Bradley Thompson; her husband Herman Sexton; and her siblings, Charlie "Buddy" Cox, Carlos Cox, Emmaline Sigmon, Ella Mae High and Georgia Love.
She is survived by: her son Darrell Thompson (Drema) of South Charleston, WV; her siblings-in-law, Bobby Sigmon of Callaway, VA and Julia Whittaker of Princeton, WV; and her caregiver Connie Williamson of Princeton, WV. She is also survived by two grandchildren and four great grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Friday, July 25th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Cravens-Shires Funeral Home (3431 Coal Heritage Rd, Bluefield, WV 24701). A funeral service will be held on Friday, July 25th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the same location.
