As Mary Lou departs from our midst, her spirit ascends to join the cosmic dance of stars, a shimmering constellation of memories that will forever grace the night sky of the hearts of those who loved Mary Lou. Though Mary Lou may no longer walk beside us, her legacy lives on — a testament to the enduring power of love to transcend the boundaries of time and space.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Charlie Gurski and Goldie Barker Gurski; and her friend Button. She is survived by: her children, Sissy and Cindy Elkins (Bart); and her grandmothers, Anna Grace (Jackson Gregory) and Sunny Day Elkins. She is also survived by friends, neighbors, co-workers.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, August 23rd 2025 from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Handley Funeral Home- Danville (439 Phipps Ave, Danville, WV 25053). A funeral service will be held on Saturday, August 23rd 2025 at 2:00 PM at the same location. A burial will be held on Saturday, August 23rd 2025 at the Pineview Cemetery (21557 Coal River Rd, Orgas, WV 25148).
