She was predeceased by: her parents, Denzil Elwood and Lela Mae Digman Proudfoot; her husband Charles Eugene Mathew; and her siblings, Ronald Lee Proudfoot and Donetta Jewel Proudfoot.

She is survived by: her daughter Deborah Sue Shumaker (Brent) of Ravenswood, WV; her grandson Mathew Douglas Giles (Kelly) of King George, VA; and her great grandchild Hudson Giles.
