She was predeceased by: her parents, John Earl and Hazel Irene Franklin; her husband Robert; her children, Deborah O'Dell and Anthony Staats; her stepfather William "Willie" Franklin; and her siblings, Lawrence, Clarence, Gail, Glen, Charles, Jessie Rucker, Bessie Swatkowski and Faye Franklin.

She is survived by: her children, Marsha Engle (Calvin) and Timothy Staats (Connie); and her grandchildren, Amanda O'Dell, Leigh Ann Kerns (Jason), David Staats (Lyndsey) and Melissa France (Eric). She is also survived by six great grandchildren.
