With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Evelyn Jane Metz of Saint Marys, West Virginia, who passed away on August 23, 2025 at the age of 86. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Carl Ellis and Garnett Shriner Ellis; her husband Paul S. Metz, Sr.; and her brothers, Bob and Mack Hedges.
She is survived by: her children, Paul S. Metz, Jr., Delores Taylor (Mike), David Metz and Peggy McCormick (Vincent); her grandchildren, Joshua, Stephen Metz, Lee Taylor, Vincent McCormick, Jr., Dwight Metz and Dauvon McCormick; her great grandchildren, Lucas, Connor, Zane Metz, Liam, Carson and Maverick McCormick; and her siblings, Garnett Trehan, Jackie Hayes and Leo Hedges, Jr.. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Thursday, August 28th 2025 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM and on Friday, August 29th 2025 from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM at the Ingram Funeral Home (512 2nd St, St Marys, WV 26170). A funeral service will be held on Friday, August 29th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the same location.
