He was predeceased by: his parent Arthur Clinton Simons, Sr.; and his wife Judy Jean Southard Simons. He is survived by: his parent Regina May Reynolds Simons; his children, John Wayne Simons, Jr, Regina Lynn Simons Ingram, Richard Buracker of Inwood and Jessica Gwen Simons of Martinsburg; his siblings, Gary Simons, Richard Simons, Greg Simons, Brenda Howard-Simons of Brunswick, Diane Simons of Brunswick and Joyce Simons-Twigg; his grandchildren, Justin Wayne "Beefie" Ingram of Falling Waters and Brittany Lynn Ingram of Martinsburg; and his great grandchild Paislee Grace Orem.
