She was predeceased by: her sister Irene Carper; her stepsister Evelyn Brixius; her brothers, Henry Lee Shirley and June Shirley; and her stepbrother June Giffin.
She is survived by: her parents, Harvey Shirley and Annie Elizabeth Shirley (Domer); her husband James R. "Jimmy" Donivan, Jr.; her daughters, Doris Shumaker (Jeff) of Sharpsburg, MD, Shelly Haskell (Steve) of Dargan, MD and Barbara Gay of Hagerstown, MD; her sisters, Margaret Delauney (Rudy) of Sharpsburg, MD and Frances Clipp (Wayne) of Sharpsburg, MD; her stepsister Wilma Kretzer of Sharpsburg, MD; her brother Harvey Shirley (Wilma) of Philadelphia, PA; and her stepbrothers, Willis Giffin (Pauline) and Sab Giffin. She is also survived by nine grandchildren; five great grandchildren.
