He was predeceased by: his parents, Guy Rockwood Lipscomb and Elda Isabelle Moats Lipscomb; his son Robert Franklin Lipscomb, Jr. (Laura); and his sisters, Josie Meadows and Patty Pierce.
He is survived by: his wife Barbara Wall Lipscomb; his children, Jennifer Amick (Robert), Julie McDaniel (Michael) and Ryan Lipscomb (Jennifer); his grandchildren, Tyler, Kayleigh "Alex", Riley, Fallon, Cordelia "CJ", Wesley and Mikel; his siblings, Guy Lipscomb (Shirley), Carol Ashley, Wanda Bean, Lillie Heflin and Lora Evans; and his friends, Jim Locke, Daryl Simmons, Mitch and Bobby Bryant.
