She was predeceased by: her parents, Harry B. Freeland and Mabel Ann Yost Freeland; her husband John Thomas Sawyer; her son-in-law Dannie Malone; her sister Virginia; her brother-in-law Richard Wade; her brother Harry; her sister-in-law Clara Mae Freeland; her parents-in-law, Janette Morris Anderson and William F. Sawyer; and her siblings-in-law, Charles, JoAnn Sawyer, William Sawyer, Betty and Jack Shenal.
She is survived by: her daughters, Debbie Malone, Tammi Hanna (Aaron) and Lisa Bauer (Thomas); and her grandchildren, Danielle Rinker (Jon), Mandy Morgan (Jason), Isaiah Hanna (Caitlin), Tommy Bauer (Nicole), England and Nash Bauer (Tracie). She is also survived by 5 great-grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, July 22nd 2025 from 2:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Harmer Funeral Home (300 Pike St, Shinnston, WV 26431). A funeral service was held on Wednesday, July 23rd 2025 at 9:30 AM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to WVU Medicine Hospice, 12 Rousch Drive, Westover, WV 26501.
