John Cox Sr. Obituary
It is with great sadness that we announce the death of John Cox Sr. of Skelton, West Virginia, who passed away on June 27, 2021, at the age of 87, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Raymond J. Cox, Sr. and Ester Treadway Cox; his children, John Earl Cox, Jr. (Bud), Donald Ray Cox and Brenda Faye Cox; and his siblings, Phillip Cox, Charles Cox, James Cox, Brenda Cox, Marie Bailey and Kathleen Vickers.
He is survived by: his children, Gary Cox of Beckley, Peggy Ellen Clark (Larry) of Jumping Branch, Lessie Perdue (Marvin) of Midway and Sally Bell (John) of Coal City; his grandchildren, Joanie Cox of Slab Fork, John Harvey Cox (April) of Jon Ben, David Clark (Kerry) of Jumping Branch, Joseph Perdue of Cross, Jessica Eillithorp (John) of Charleston and Austin Cline of Coal City; his great grandchildren, Jeremiah Hansford, Joshua Cox, Jayden Cox, Kayley Clark and Clint Ellithorp; his siblings, Kenneth Cox (Sandy) of Slab Fork, Sam Cox (Cerena) of Acord Mountain, Raymond Cox (Rita) of MacArthur, Lessie Mae Prince of Crab Orchard, Virginia Cole of Crab Orchard, Debbie Cox of MacArthur and Ester Blake (Dennis) of North Sand; and his sister-in-law Ruth Cox of MacArthur.
