He was predeceased by : his wife Betty; and his parents, Herman L. Fankhouser and Cristina Baker Fankhouser. He is survived by : his stepchildren, Timothy Dawson (Janet), Kimberly Powell (Wayne), Kevin Moore (Janet) and Kelly Boer (Dan); his sister Patricia Genzel; and his niece Nicki Maggiore (Paul).

Visitation was held on Friday, April 19th 2024 at 10:00 AM at the Keller Funeral Home (1236 Myers Ave, Dunbar, WV 25064). A funeral service was held on Friday, April 19th 2024 at 11:30 AM at the same location. A burial was held on Friday, April 19th 2024 at the Cunningham Memorial Park.
