It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Loretta Sue Wallen of Thacker, West Virginia, who passed away on January 21, 2022, at the age of 79, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by : her parents, Meda Chafin and Blankenship; her children, Brenda Asbury and Bruce Wallen; and her siblings, Elsie Goad, Marge Ferrell, Fred Chafin, Troy "Boy" Chafin and Cecil Larry Chafin.
She is survived by : her husband Lloyd Wallen of Thacker, WV; her children, Lloyd, Bobby Wallen of Illinois, Alena "Sissy" Dotson (Timmy) of North Matewan, WV and Melissa "Missy" Baker (Chris Browning); her sisters, Emma Sawyer of Cleveland, OH, Connie Mahon of Beech Creek, WV and Effie Hardesty of Meador, WV; her grandchildren, Timothy (Breana), Mishell (Eric), Carla (Michael), Tina, Ashley and Danielle; and her pet Sassy. She is also survived by nieces, nephews and other beloved family members and friends.
