She was predeceased by : her father Kenneth Burgess; her brother Wayne Burgess; her nephew Corey Burgess; and her stepbrothers, Jeff and Robbie Wentz.

She is survived by : her mother Beulah Keller Wentz; her husband Gerald Dale Burgess; her children, Carlos Burgess of Pittsburgh, Joel Burgess of Parkersburg and Lindsey Burgess of Morgantown; her granddaughter Solene Burgess; her stepfather Bobby Wentz of Charleston; her sister Kay Wentz Goff of Fairplain; and her stepbrothers, Jerry Wentz of South Carolina and Matt Wentz of Charleston.
