He was predeceased by: his siblings, Glenna Muncy, Paul Muncy and Andrew Prater; his brother-in-law James W. Shelton, Jr.; his nephew Cody McCoy; and his close friend Al Perkins.
He is survived by: his parents, Homer Muncy and Stella Muncy of Warriormine, WV.; his children, Anna Lee Muncy of High Point, NC, Allyson Rochelle Muncy of Warriormine, Sophia Maelinn Muncy of Warriormine, WV, Justin Muncy of High Point, NC and Dakota Allen Muncy of Warriormine, WV; his siblings, Timothy McCoy of North Carolina, Jeffrey McCoy of Warriormine, WV, Celia McCoy (Clarence) of Bluefield, WV, Debra McPeak (Danny) of Tazewell, VA, Shelly Nunley (Anthony) of Bluefield, WV and Emma Green (Byron) of Abbs Valley, VA; and his grandchildren, Brennan Muncy and Harmonee Muncy. He is also survived by many cousins, aunts, uncles, nephews, nieces, and close friends.
