It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Sophie Francis Pavel of Weirton, West Virginia, born in Colliers, West Virginia, who passed away on February 2, 2024, at the age of 93, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by : her parents, Ignatius Koniski and Francis Chanze Koniski; her husband John S. Pavel, Sr. (Sonny Paul); her son Richard Pavel; her grandson Christopher Pavel; and her sons-in-law, Chuck Aracich, Keith Little and David Smith, Sr..

She is survived by : her children, Geraldine Aracich Anna (Dennie), Mary Little-Samples (Tim), Paula Lane (John), John Pavel Jr. (Patty), Teddy Pavel (Judy) and Robert Pavel. She is also survived by eight grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren.
