He was predeceased by : his parents, Helen Watson Hagerman and Howard Hagerman; his wife Marcia Hagerman; his siblings, Howard "Junior" Hagerman (Millie), Hattie Hagerman King (Roy), Dorothy Hagerman, Ardith "Elaine" Hagerman Bye (Walter), Betty Hagerman Weenik (Richard) and Lowell Hagerman (Maria); his son John Hagerman; and his grandson James Alan MacTavish.

He is survived by : his children, Elizabeth Baker (Mike), Heidi Griffin (James T.), Emilie Curtis (Steve), Thomas Hagerman (Marlene) and Kristine Webb (Kurt).
