He is survived by: his wife Kathleen Schmidt of Gillette, WY; his siblings, Gene Schmidt of Harlan, IA, Janiece Rau (Tom) of Shelby, IA and Larry Schmidt (Marilyn) of Blaine, MN; his children, Dustin Schmidt of Gillette, WY and Nickole Schickel (Chadwick) of Tucson, AZ; his stepdaughter Hayley Dorris (Steve) of Medford, OR; his grandchildren, Keldon, Sydnee Schmidt, Maddison, Logynn, Bayli Schickel, Gavin and Dakota Patterson; and his great grandchild Emmitt Kingsbury.
