He was predeceased by: his parents, Curtis Gilland and Ruth Gilland (Schroeder); his siblings, Maxine Martin, Marylin Wilson, Maureen Besler, Roberta Raber and Robert Gilland; and his sons, Eddie and Anthony Kindred.
He is survived by: his wife Cheryl Kindred; his daughters, JoLeen Berdahl of Watford City, ND and Jody Bowker (Tom) of Terra Haute, IN; his grandsons, Justice Berdahl of Watford City, ND and Eric Kindred of California; his sisters, Cheryl Stasio of Tampa, FL and Norma Hess of Eau Claire, WI; and his great grandchildren, Samuel Kindred and Emmalyn Kindred of California. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
