He was predeceased by: his parents, Carl Knutson and Ida Knutson (Nelson); his siblings, Allen, Neil "Buster", Rose and Andre; his daughter Susie; his former wife Rene; and his great grandchild Korbi.
He is survived by: his wife Lorene Sonne; his sons, Kevin (Marcia) of Gillette, Butch (Debbie) of Gillette and Jim of Gillette; and his grandchildren, Jerry Hanson (Tanya), John Hanson (Kim), Nikki Knutson, Eric Knutson (Megan), Kimberly Goode (Shane), Kelly Groene (Jason) and Clint Knutson (Erin). He is also survived by 17 great-grandchildren.
Memorials may be made to benefit the American Legion Post #42, where a memorial in his name has been established.
