She was predeceased by: her husband Phillip O. Hughes; her son Phillip O Hughes Jr.; her sisters, Thelma Smody, Velma Hughes and Genevia Hillis; her granddaughter Porsha Brauberger; and her brothers, R. H. Chatman, John W. Chatman and Hershel Chatman.
She is survived by: her children, Jonathan Hughes of Green River, Phyllis Hughes of Green River and Rebecca Morris (Jerry) of Eau Claire; her siblings, C. L. Chatman (Rose) of Missouri, Truman Chatman (Carol) of Missouri, T. C, Lawrence Chatman (Jeannie) of Missouri, Pansy Parks (James O.) of Missouri and Anna Chatman of Missouri; her grandchildren, William, Ethan and Grace Morris; and her great grandchild IsaBelle Hutson.
