He is survived by: his wife Gail; his children, Chris (Mickie) and Julie (Drew); and his grandchildren, Riley (Jessica), Tyler, Evan and Brennen.

Donations can be made in Russ's name, to the First United Methodist Church in Laramie or the American Studies Program at the University of Wyoming.
