He was loved and cherished by many people including : his parents, Jim Gotfrey and Maida Gotfrey (Spohn) of Dix, Nebraska; his wife Debra Bailey; his sons, Rick Bailey of San Antonio and Loren Chase Gotfrey of Pine Bluffs, Wyoming; his brother Aaron Gotfrey (Kimberly) of Dix, Nebraska; his nephews, Jacob Gotfrey, Salt, Zacary and Zander Gotfrey of Dix, Nebraska; his grandparents, Clyde, Helen Gotfrey, Loren and Anna Spohn; his siblings, Paul, John and Laura; and his nephews, Jared and Leland Gotfrey. He was also cherished by numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.
