She was predeceased by : her parents, James Henry and Pearl Shafer; and her husband Phil Charnell. She is survived by : her children, Cali, Sharon Gherman (Ron) of Funny River, Alaska, Cathy Asay (Doc) of Cody, Wyoming and Jim Charnell (Maria) of Long Beach, California.. She is also survived by her father placed her with family friends.

Complications of a breakthrough case of COVID were just too much for her body to bear.
