She was predeceased by: her parents, Loris Stewart and Aurelia Stewart; her husband Ed Vail; her children, Paul, Mary and Ellen Vail; her grandson Jacob Richardson; and her sister-in-law Connie Stewart.

She is survived by: her children, Mike Vail (Patty), Steve Vail (Krissy) and Shelly Richardson (Larry Boston); her grandchildren, Danielle Richardson (Nick McGinnis), Dayna Watson (Tim), Martin Vail, Hanna Vail (Jarrod Carlson), Parker Vail and Carson Vail; her great grandchildren, Vincent Richardson, Layla Pedroza, Nicholas McGinnis, Kynley, Everly Watson, Eli and Amelia Lee Carlson; and her siblings, Wayne Stewart, David Stewart (Izumi) and Juli Kosta (David).
