It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Rita A. Pickerd (Sundance, Wyoming), who passed away on May 28, 2020, at the age of 77, leaving to mourn family and friends. Leave a sympathy message to the family in the guestbook on this memorial page of Rita A. Pickerd to show support.

She was predeceased by : her former life partner Roy McKenney; her parents, Preston Mitchell and Laura Mitchell; her brother Preston "Dig" Mitchell; and her brothers-in-law, Leonard McKenney and Mitch Mitchell.

She is survived by : her husband Albert Pickerd; her children, Khristy Fritz (Dan), James McKenney (Doreen) and Todd McKenney (Andrea); and her siblings, Laura Lee McKenney, Pat Mitchell, John Mitchell (Anna), Billie Wolter (John) and Karen Harvey. She is also survived by nine grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren.

Due to the Covid 19 pandemic, private services were held with burial at Black Hills National Cemetery.

A memorial has been established to the Eastern Star Pine Cone Chapter #41 Service Dog Fund.
