He is survived by : his sons, Gilbert Borboa Jr. and Greg Borboa; and his siblings, Fred Borboa (Terry), William Sanchez and Irma Sandoval (Edward). He is also survived by his nieces, nephews, and great grandchildren.

Visitation was held on Friday, May 31st 2024 from 8:00 AM to 10:30 AM at the Carrillo's Tucson Mortuary (South Chapel) (240 S Stone Ave, Tucson, AZ 85701). A rosary was held on Friday, May 31st 2024 at 9:30 AM at the same location. A Mass was held on Friday, May 31st 2024 at 11:00 AM at the St. John's Church (602 W Ajo Way, Tucson, AZ 85713). A burial was held on Friday, May 31st 2024 at 12:30 PM at the Holy Hope Cemetery (3555 N Oracle Rd, Tucson, AZ 85705).
