He is survived by : his wife Dolores Garcia; and his children, Deborah Pekelsma, Kevin Garcia, Mary Elinor Gregory, Angeline Fuentez and Phillip Prather. He is also survived by 16 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.

A Mass was held on Friday, May 31st 2024 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the St. Therese Catholic Church (855 E Floradora Ave, Fresno, CA 93728). A memorial service was held on Friday, May 31st 2024 from 11:30 AM to 12:00 PM at the Fresno Memorial Gardens (175 S Cornelia Ave, Fresno, CA 93706).
