With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Joseph Mahlon Ziegler of Clayton, Delaware, born in Wilmington, Delaware, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on April 24, 2024 at the age of 76. He was predeceased by : his parents, Joseph Harbold Ziegler and Frances Naomi Ziegler; his niece Abigail S. Shetzler; and his nephew John E. Shetzler, IV. He is survived by : his children, Joseph T. Ziegler (Jul) and Alison M. Ziegler; his grandchildren, Joseph F, Mahlon J. Ziegler, Nevaeh A. Johnson, Elijah D. Reece and Delilah N. Reece; his sisters, Eunice Z. Craig (Jerry), Susan Z. Shetzler (John) and Janet Z. Brown (Tom); and his nieces and nephews, Gregory Reed (Melissa), R. Jerry Craig, Jr. (Ann), Jennifer C. Purcell (Gregory) and Emily F. Shetzler.

A funeral service was held on Friday, May 3rd 2024 at 4:00 PM at the American Legion Post 14 (107 W Glenwood Ave, Smyrna, DE 19977).

In lieu of flowers the family requests donations in memory of Joseph Mahlon Ziegler be sent to the American Legion Post 14, 107 W. Glenwood Ave., Smyrna, DE 19977.
