He was predeceased by : his parents, Thomas Valdie Pickett and Dorothy Lucille Stansfield Pickett; and his brother Gary Pickett. He is survived by : his wife Wendy Pickett of Dover, DE; his children, Erin Carrera (Omar) of Corte Madera, CA, Rebecca Pickett of New York City, NY and Ryan Pickett (Jennifer) of Rockaway, NJ; his stepchildren, Lisa Gorman (Fintan) of San Francisco, CA and Brian O'Connell (Grace) of Pittsburgh, PA; his grandchild Camila Carrera of San Francisco, CA; his stepchildren, Nicolas Carrera of Corte Madera, CA, Ceola Rory Gorman of San Francisco, CA and Evelyn Jane O'Connell of Pittsburgh, PA; his niece Michelle Pickett Kroeger of Oro Valley, AZ; and his nephew Thomas Pickett (Dessa Nalwood-Arrow) of Tucson, AZ..

Visitation was held on Sunday, May 26th 2024 from 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the Pippin Funeral Home (119 W Camden Wyoming Ave, Wyoming, DE 19934). A celebration of life was held on Sunday, May 26th 2024 from 3:00 PM to 4:00 PM at the same location.
