We are sad to announce that on May 5, 2024, Arnold R. Hockensmith (Harrington, Delaware), born in Bennettsville, South Carolina passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by : his parents, Cyril J. Hockensmith and Ruthie Hockensmith; his daughters, Megan Marie Hockensmith, Amanda Nicole Hockensmith and Amber Rose Hockensmith; and his brother Joseph Hockensmith.

He is survived by : his wife Dana Hockensmith; his son Todd Hockensmith; his siblings, Kenneth Hockensmith (Sharon) and Cindy Garrard (LaDone); and his grandchildren, Julian Hockensmith, Justice Simon, Izayah Wright, Cee'Anna Simon and Scarlett Hockensmith. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews, cousins.

Visitation was held on Wednesday, May 15th 2024 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Melvin Funeral Home (15522 S Dupont Hwy, Harrington, DE 19952). A funeral service was held on Wednesday, May 15th 2024 at 2:00 PM at the same location. Before Covid, he was also active and supported the Saturday ministries of the Agape Church in Milford.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to either Agape Church, 207 N. Rehoboth Blvd., Milford, DE 19963; or to Lifeway Church of God, 7046 Seashore Hwy., Bridgeville, DE 19933.
