He was predeceased by : his adoptive parents, Ezra Wile and Theresa Mary Wile. He is survived by : his wife Linda Wile; his children, Michael Wile, David E. Wile Jr. (Adele) and Michelle Wolf (Sean); and his grandchildren, Zachery, Ethan, Autumn and Crystal.

Visitation was held on Thursday, May 9th 2024 from 4:00 PM to 5:00 PM at the Melvin Funeral Home (15522 S Dupont Hwy, Harrington, DE 19952). A funeral service was held on Thursday, May 9th 2024 at 5:00 PM at the same location.
