She was predeceased by : her parents, Roy Hicks and Marie Estelle Hicks (Williams); her husband Braxton L. T. Marrs; her daughter Tina Martindale; and her siblings, Elmer Hicks, Lester Hicks, Lee Hicks, Robert Hicks, Jean Dye and Frank Hicks.

She is survived by : her children, Debbie Gawel (Jerry), Randy Marrs (Diana), Thomas Marrs (Shirley) and Roy Marrs (Cynthia); her grandchildren, Eric Gawel (Kirstyn), Miles Gawel (Nicole), Joey Martindale (Hillary), Christopher Martindale, Steven Martindale (Haley), Randy Marrs II (Meredith), Samantha Marrs, Tiffany Anderson (Lewis), Shanna Marrs, Tara Patterson, Jessica Marrs, LeeAnna Marrs and Alex Marrs; her siblings, Iris Nunley and Arnold Hicks (Lillian); and her friends, Dottie Syva and Debbie Moore. She is also survived by 20 great-grandchildren, many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
