He was predeceased by : his parents, George Sakers Dougherty and Esther Rebecca Dougherty; and his brothers, Willard and William Dougherty. He is survived by : his wife Jowain Dougherty; and his daughters, Linda Hewes (Mark), Esther Dougherty and Delores Davis (Wade). He is also survived by grandchildren, five beloved great-grandchildren, as well as numerous nieces, nephews.

A celebration of life will be held on Friday, June 21st 2024 at 10:00 AM at the Delaware Veterans Memorial Cemetery (2465 Chesapeake City Rd, Bear, DE 19701).
