He was predeceased by : his parents, Betty Thompson and Leroy Miller; and his sister Lilian Whitaker. He is survived by : his close friend Gladys Grinnage; his daughters, Tori Needam (Ahmad) and TaKesha Montague (Jerome); his grandchildren, Xeniyah, Jordan, Jaden, Camron, Jerome II and Brooqulynn; and his sister Betty Ann Chandler (Milton). He is also survived by aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Viewing was held on Saturday, June 1st 2024 from 8:00 AM to 9:45 AM at the Congo Funeral Home (201 N Gray Ave, Wilmington, DE 19805). A funeral service was held on Saturday, June 1st 2024 at 10:00 AM at the same location.
