He was predeceased by : his parents, Mac Thomas and Ida Belle Rewis; his stepmother Ruby Thomas; and his son Marvin Thomas, Jr.. He is survived by : his aunt Peggy Joyce Harvey of Jacksonville, FL..

Visitation was held on Monday, May 20th 2024 at 10:45 AM at the Brandy Branch Cemetery. A graveside service was held on Monday, May 20th 2024 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
