It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Mary Alice McCray of Jacksonville, Florida, born in Waycross, Georgia, who passed away on May 10, 2024, at the age of 90, leaving to mourn family and friends. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.

She was predeceased by : her parents, James Fredrick and Maggie Westberry Leverett; her husband Alton Lavern McCray; her siblings, Richard Leverett, Larry Leverett, Gladys Strickland and Doris Smith; and her sister-in-law Gloria Leverett.

She is survived by : her daughters, Karen Lavern Faircloth (Wilson Faircloth, Jr.) and Macy Darleen Herbertson (Teddy Herbertson); her grandchildren, Angel Bryan (Eric), Amy Faircloth (Brian Taylor), Tracie Herbertson, Stacey Bellar (Derek) and Joseph Herbertson (Eileen); her great grandchildren, Josh Kelly, Kristen Entrekin, Brooke Hutcheson (Hunter), Logan Douglas, Morgan Herbertson and Reagan McLeish; her brother James Leverett; and her brothers-in-law, Jerry Strickland and Charlie Smith. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.

Visitation was held on Thursday, May 16th 2024 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Riverside Memorial Park & Funeral Home (7242 Normandy Blvd, Jacksonville, FL 32205). A funeral service was held on Thursday, May 16th 2024 at 12:00 PM at the same location.
